On January 25, 2025, Preservation Long Island hosted its biennial Preservation Awards ceremony at the historic Cold Spring Harbor Methodist Church, recognizing outstanding preservation efforts across the region. Among this year’s honorees was longtime and active board member Brian Pinnola, who was posthumously awarded the 2024 Howard C. Sherwood Award for his extraordinary contributions to historic preservation. The award was accepted by his friend, Maureen Soltren, in a moving tribute by architect Paul Bentel.
